Pregnancy Counseling Services would like to announce, Cindy Stevens, as their newest board member. This brings our board to a total of 7 board members. Cindy Stevens joined the board as of February of 2020. “We are very excited to have Cindy on board! Her business background will be a nice addition to the other experiences the board has to offer,” says TaNelle Forgy, Executive Director.
Cindy has been married to her husband, Darrell, for 31 years. They have two grown daughters and son-in-laws, along with three grandchildren. Her oldest daughter, Elizabeth, lives in Chico with her husband and their two children. Her other daughter, Christy, and her husband live in Sacramento with their seven- month old baby girl, Brooklyn.
Cindy spent close to 34 years in pharmaceutical sales, primarily on the generic side of the business. She represented her company by helping them to launch new and greatly needed affordable, cutting-edge generic pharmaceuticals to their national accounts in the US.
“I feel so blessed that God gave me the gift of having the passion to speak boldly from my heart to people I have never met. I am thrilled that I can put these gifts to use as I meet with people and businesses to tell them about Pregnancy Counseling Services and our annual fundraising banquet,” says Cindy Stevens.
Cindy began volunteering at PCS in 2016 after she had recently retired and wanted to donate some of her time to apply some of the gifts and skills she had acquired her years of working in sales. A dear friend introduced her to PCS and after visiting the center and seeing what PCS provides to their clients on a daily basis, she was drawn to the ministry.
“I have definitely seen God's work at PCS, in both the lives of our clients, volunteers, and in our business and church community. It’s very exciting as we watch our clients go through and complete our Earn While You Learn Program with a newly found maturity, confidence and excitement for caring for their children, which I definitely attribute to God's work in the lives of these women,” says Cindy.
